Intro / Koropi

A few words about Koropi in the Municipality of Milies.

View of Koropi beach. Koropi (previously known as Boufa) ) is part of the Municipality of Milies, in the prefecture of Magnesia in central Greece.

Sunset from Koropi beach. The settlement was originally built on the site of an ancient city bearing the same name, which was well known for the oracle of
Koropios Apollonas (5th century B.C.).
The actual place where the oracle was located is today's Dyo Allonia, an area of great archaeological interest.

The area is full of olive and pear trees (the very well-known 'chrystalia' pears).
The orchards stretch right down to the shore.

The 1,500m long Koropi beach is the longest on the Pagassitikos Gulf, with the calm, clear waters making it the ideal place for a family vacation.
